Duong joins us outside Christian's place, and we set off to meet Patrice and Eric at Saint-Germain-En-Laye, and then a good ride through the countryside to Gerberoy.

We repair to an excellent restaurant (surprise, surprise!) for lunch. Patrice has an interesting self-powered spit for his fillet. laugh.gif

As usual, the meal takes twice as long as anticipated, with the usual banter and laughter, so I decide to travel home via the auto-route instead of the back roads. Eric and Duong are heading for the autoroute as well, so Eric leads us in a nice brisk jaunt. The D930 is a good road for bikes, I must remember it for another time. We wave our goodbyes at the Peage, and I judge I have plenty of time to get to the shuttle. How wrong I was...
